BLACKFOOT (THE FLAT FOOT FLOGIE)-BACK IN ACTION feat. LOUIS ARMSTRONG

One of the songs recorded to the new "The Real Milli Vanilli" album, so Christoph Seipel was able to sell it in 1992 to ZYX Music.
Recorded at Far-Studios/Rosbach and at Cocoloco/Offenbach, the song was recorded in1990 during only one day, in Studio 2 of the FAR-Studios, the credits for this song have to go to Christoph Seipel and DJ Wondermike, who had prepared the complete song.

The “Flat Foot Floogie (With a Floy Floy)” was a 1938 jazz song, originally written and performed by Slim Gaillard.

The original song was called “Flat Foot Floozie”, with the “floy-floy” being slang for a venereal disease. The word “floozie” was changed into “Floogie” to allow it be to played on the radio.

It’s most well known in the version by Louis Armstrong and The Mills Brothers (1938) en Benny Goodman’s version, which made the song a number one hit. The song has been covered by artists as diverse as Wingy Manone, Django Reinhardt, Count Basie, Fats Waller and Michael Jackson

The title for the 1938 The Three Stooges movie Flat Foot Stooges is a pun on this song.
